About Lauren

Lauren Sadow completed her PhD at the Australian National University in 2019. Standard Translatable English is the pedagogical tool that she developed as part of this project.

Her goal with her first project was to provide ESOL teachers across Australia with a tool that they can use to teach invisible culture in their classrooms, and to provide them with the resources they need to do this effectively.

Now, she is keen to bring this approach to the wide range of people who can use it, including government, marketing and advertising, healthcare communication, news, emergency communication and so much more. If you think STE can help you in your work, please send an email.

Her other interests include cross-cultural communication, intercultural communication, semantics, pragmatics, the Natural Semantic Metalanguage, teacher education, pragmatic competence, intercultural competence, and more.
